• API Keys: Your Gemini or Mistral API keys are stored locally on your device using chrome.storage.local. These keys are only used to authenticate requests to the respective AI providers.
• Subtitle Content: The extension captures subtitle text from the websites you visit solely for the purpose of translation. This text is sent directly to the AI provider (Google or Mistral) you have configured.
• Settings and Preferences: Your UI preferences (font size, colors, position) are stored locally on your machine.

2. Third-Party Service Providers

When you use the translation feature, the subtitle text is sent to third-party AI providers. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for details on how they handle data:

3. Data Security

Since all sensitive information (like API Keys) is stored locally in your browser's secure storage, the security of your data depends on the security of your device. We recommend not sharing your API keys with anyone.
